Dr. Sander Trenson is cardiologist at AZ Sint-Jan Brugge, specialising in heart failure. He completed his PhD at KU Leuven on the role of the microvascular endothelium in heart failure. As founder and scientific chair of Cardio Pearls, he created this symposium to offer young cardiologists a platform that is simultaneously rigorous, welcoming, and genuinely peer-driven.

Dr. Sebastiaan Dhont is a cardiology MD/PhD fellow at Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg in Genk. His research focuses on cardiac physiology, echocardiography and exercise cardiology. He has published extensively on cardiac haemodynamics, bridging fundamental cardiovascular science and clinical practice.

Dr. Frederik Helsen is cardiologist-intensivist at AZ Glorieux in Ronse, with expertise in clinical cardiology, cardiac intensive care and congenital heart disease in adults. He holds a PhD from KU Leuven on phenotyping patients with a systemic right ventricle, and completed a fellowship in intensive care at UZ Gent.
